Oakland brings BHFF into the Bay Area through a national festival program connected to independent cinema and community storytelling.
BHFF’s Oakland program is presented in partnership with the Oakland International Film Festival, bringing the national program celebrating Black cinema and emerging filmmakers to the Bay Area. As with Atlanta, DC, and Miami, Oakland programming highlights the depth of the Black experience through narrative and documentary work.
